Description: A video sharing website targeted at bartending professionals and flair enthusiasts. Flair can be defined as the act of performing for and entertaining customers while serving their drinks. The website is a complete, from scratch, overhaul of the client’s previous website. Based on the Joomla CMS system, the web portal offers brand new videos from local flair competitions, as well as international flair events.

Features:
Custom made multilingual flash navigation (Bulgarian/English) – linked with Joomla’s language module, XML based.

Video download credit through SMS – users have the opportunity to download videos from the website in the original format they were uploaded. The hwdVideoShare component relies on flvtool and ffmpeg installed on the hosting server and converts all uploaded videos to the flv format to be played on the frontend of the website. Originals of the videos are kept and can be downloaded by sending a short text (SMS) message. After sending an SMS message, the web site generates a unique download credit code which is sent to the mobile phone of the user requesting to download the video. After receiving it on his phone, the user logs onto the website with his user account, enters the code and can proceed to downloading the video. Special care is taken on part of the website to track the user’s download progress and take out of his download credit only if he has received the video in its entirety. If not, the user’s download credit is not affected and he is allowed to attempt another download.

Integration of additional FLV player in hwdVideoShare component: Joomla’s hwdVideoShare component offers three open source video players, offering limited functionality. Agriya’s FLV Player Elite is a superior FLV player offering extended functionality. One the main features is the ability to show advertisement images before playback starts. The player is tweaked so that before video playback starts, a random image is grabbed from a specific folder on the filesystem and rendered inside the player window.
